Neuropsychological Assessment
I also conduct neuropsychological assessment evaluations to help children and adults who are having difficulties in school, at home or at work. These assessments can help clarify psychiatric diagnoses and identify things like learning, attentional or social skills challenges. For adults, assessments are often shorter and tailored towards exploring particular diagnoses such as ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder. For children, these assessments are more comprehensive and multifaceted and include interviews (e.g. family, medical/mental health providers, teachers), school observation and standardized assessment tools and questionnaires. The goal is to help identify areas of strength and weakness, and offer recommendations for any interventions, specialized services or accommodations that can help people perform to the best of their abilities and engage meaningfully and successfully in their lives.
